ERR CONNECTION RESET

Last updated: 17/02/2025

Since Google Chrome and other browsers load a website's HTTPS URL by default instead of the regular HTTP connection, the following error message occurs much more frequently:

1fcf0506-2fe4-47f1-baaa-6b5a42648e82.png

This has to do with the exact URL being loaded; if you do not have an SSL certificate on your website, this URL is inaccessible.

As a rule, it is advisable to redirect all traffic to one of these URLs, for readability by visitors as well as for search engine crawlers like Google. Since Google (January 2024) prioritizes https:// URLs by default, it is advisable to configure this for one of the https URLs.

If you cannot resolve this error message with the redirect, it is often the case that this is already being recorded elsewhere within your website. Your task is then to investigate where this is being recorded and change it to the correct URL. Your Content Management System documentation or your web designer can assist you further with this. It is also possible to outsource this to us; a ticket can be created for this purpose by contacting the helpdesk. Costs are associated with this, and an estimate will be provided before the assignment is created and executed.
